It’s easy to arrange in advance the funeral you want with a funeral plan. By purchasing a plan, you can specify your wishes and pay for the funeral director services included. This has the benefit of bringing peace of mind to both yourself and your family, allowing the planning to be taken care of in advance to relieve stress at the time of bereavement.
A funeral plan from Golden Charter also includes an allowance towards third-party costs, which are for other essential services such as cremation or burial fees, and the minister or officiant’s fee to perform the service. These are outside of our control but need to be paid at the time of the funeral. The value of the allowance included in your plan may grow over time. There will only be more to pay at the time of the funeral if the third-party costs exceed the allowance when you buy your plan, or if the costs increase by more than the growth of your plan.
