Funeral Choices
With Alderson’s Family Funerals, you can choose a funeral for your loved one that reflects all of the intricacies of their character. Whether you would like a simple service for someone who you know wouldn’t have liked a fuss or a themed sendoff for a loved one who would prefer to go out in style, the array of different funeral options and burial options that we offer allow you to choose either of these funerals and anything in between.
Arranging a funeral can seem daunting, so we suggest breaking it down into manageable stages. During the process, we are happy to be involved and guide you through each step, but equally, we can take a more hands-off approach if that’s what you desire.
Traditionally, funerals are held in a church or some other place of worship followed by burial or cremation. The local clergy or leader will be contacted and they will go through the service with you. Alternatively, you may choose to have the full service at the crematorium or at the graveside, but we can still ask the local clergy to officiate at the service. For those who are not religious, we can arrange for a non-religious officiant or celebrant to lead the ceremony, which usually takes place at the crematorium or the graveside.
If you have something specific in mind for a loved one that has recently passed and would like to discuss it with a friendly, caring professional, contact Alderson’s Family Funerals today. Based in Durham, we serve the communities of Newton Hall, Belmont, Coxhoe and beyond.
